Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all goods and services supplied by Golden West Security. By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, making a payment, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Quotes

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  • Quotes are based on information available at the time and may be subject to change if site conditions, measurements, materials, or specifications change.

  • Quotes may be adjusted if unforeseen issues arise during installation.

Acceptance of Quote

  • A quote is considered accepted when the customer:

    • Pays a deposit, or

    • Provides written or verbal approval to proceed.

  • Acceptance authorises Golden West Security to order materials, schedule work, and prepare the job.

Deposits

  • A deposit is required to confirm the order and secure materials.

  • Once a deposit is paid, work may commence, including ordering materials and allocating labour.

Materials & Custom-Made Products

  • Many products supplied by Golden West Security are custom-made to size and specification.

  • Once materials are ordered or manufacturing has commenced, they cannot be returned, resold, or reused.

  • Any costs incurred for materials or preparation will be charged to the customer.

Change of Mind & Cancellations

  • A change of mind after acceptance of a quote does not entitle the customer to a full refund.

  • If an order is cancelled after materials have been ordered or work has commenced:

    • The deposit will be retained to cover costs already incurred, and

    • The customer may be liable for any additional costs that exceed the deposit.

  • Any refund offered is at the discretion of Golden West Security and will be limited to the amount remaining after costs are deducted.

Variations

  • Any changes requested after quote acceptance may result in:

    • Additional charges

    • Adjusted installation timeframes

  • All variations must be approved before proceeding.

Installation & Site Access

  • Customers must provide safe, clear, and unrestricted access to the site on the scheduled installation date.

  • Golden West Security is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or incomplete site preparation.

  • Additional charges may apply for re-visits or delays outside our control.

Timeframes

  • Installation timeframes provided are estimates only.

  • Delays may occur due to supplier availability, weather conditions, or factors beyond our control.

Payment Terms

  • Final payment is due on completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Failure to make payment may result in delays to future work or warranty claims.

  • All goods remain the property of Golden West Security until payment is made in full.

Warranty

  • Products and workmanship are covered by applicable manufacturer warranties and Australian Consumer Law.

  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, alterations, lack of maintenance, or external factors beyond our control.

Australian Consumer Law

  • Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss.

  • A change of mind is not considered a fault under Australian Consumer Law.

Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, Golden West Security is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the supply of goods or services.

  • Liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or re-supply of goods or services where applicable.

Photography & Marketing

  • Golden West Security may take photographs or videos of completed works for quality assurance and marketing purposes.

  • No personal identifying information will be used without consent.

Website & Online Enquiries

  • Information provided on our website is general in nature and subject to change.

  • Submitting an online enquiry does not form a binding agreement until a quote is accepted.

Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.

  • Any disputes will be handled in accordance with WA regulations.
